The Story

Forged in the Middle of It

Angela Lynn Martin knows what it is to lose yourself. She has lived through abuse, addiction, and depression — and the slow, quiet erosion of identity that happens when survival becomes the only goal. She knows what it costs to perform a life that no longer fits, and what it takes to stop.

Her story is not one of overnight transformation. It is one of honest, hard-won recovery — of learning to name what was lost, release what no longer belonged, and rebuild from a restored sense of who she actually is. Marriage, blended family life, faith, and purpose have all been part of that rebuilding.

She and her husband David are raising a blended family of six children in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, where they also serve as Prayer Team Leaders at Freedom Life Church. The work she does — speaking, writing, coaching — is not separate from that life. It flows directly from it.

Professional Background

Before the Stage

Before stepping into speaking and writing, Angela spent 13+ years in corporate leadership at General Electric and a decade as an active entrepreneur. She served as Chief Growth Officer of Uplift Elevator and Co-Owner of DM Roofing TX.

She holds a BA in Family Life Education and a Master's in Prophetic Ministry. Her academic and professional formation runs alongside — not instead of — the lived experience that grounds her message.
